MemberI am 33 and I was diagnosed with endometriosis at age 18. I waited to get my education and a career before considering children and I suffered every month through painful periods with the hope that one day it will all go away. Two years ago I met this wonderful man and I shared everything with him, shortly thereafter we started trying, after a year and nothing I went and had all the tests done and my doctor recommended a second laporoscopy to determine the stage of the endometriosis and remove any scar tissue. Suffice to say I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and told that my best chance at conceiving is IVF. I think this was too much for him to bear and he baled. But I want my child/children and will be travelling to BFC in Jan and hopefully when I retun home I will be carrying my son/daughter.

MemberI am 24 and have just been diagnosed with stage 4 endometrosis. My doc said my only hope is IVF. I have never been pregnant. I read online about laser surgery to remove scar tissue but such treatment is not available in my country. I am hoping to find it it T&T and then head to the BFC to do the IVF. Personally, this is a very painful and depressing period in my life finding out I may not be able to have kids. My bf, with whom I live, is supportive so far but I am unsure about our future. Some days I just feel like an empty shell with this big hallow feeling inside. I want to cry, scream. It is so difficult. I pray each day that God give me the strength to cope and bless me with even one baby.

My heart goes out to you. Having endemetrosis is not the end of the world. Discovering that you have an infertility problem can be very stressful and painful. You become faced with many difficult decisions to make. As inidicated to other women who wants to have a family that they have an option of IVF which most women many years ago did not have and that's a blessing.

MemberThank you for your support. My situation is very complicated. I wish no other woman has to suffer this way. Your mind has to be really strong to endure. I am faithful in prayers for strength to carry on. My tubes are hydrosalpinges and stuck to my ovaries, which are stuck to the pouch of douglas and bowel. So its all wrapped up in there. I am currently on depo provera. I am looking for a endo specialist in T&T to do the surgery to remove some of the endo and probably open or remove the tubes before I try IVF. I would be happy of someone can point to me a good specialits that can do it anywhere in teh Caribbean.
I have read and also based on advise from other endo sufferers, hydrosalpinx tubes can affect the IVF success. I want to ensure that everything is at a good state for IVF. I have read that BFC is the best and I am really hoping it works for me. Once again, thank you for the support. Best wishes!
